Courses Overview

This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home or self-defense. After taking this course, students will feel confident to lawfully act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Illinois Concealed Carry

Illinois Concealed Carry

This course teaches students how to safely carry, use, and care for a concealed weapon. It includes classroom instruction and range time.

CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION:

  • Firearm safety: Basic safety rules for handling, storing, and transporting a firearm.
  • Gun Identification: How to identify and select ammunition and different types of firearms.
  • Marksmanship: Basic principles of stance, grip, and shooting techniques.
  • Laws: Local, state, and federal laws regarding concealed carry


RANGE TIME:

  • Live Fire: Students practice shooting a concealable handgun at a target.
  • Hands-on Training: Students learn how to load and unload a firearm, and how to deal with recoil management.

Illinois Concealed Carry Renewal

License renewal course covers topics such as firearm safety, legal requirements, and use of force laws. This course also includes a live fire qualification.

TOPICS COVERED:
Reviewing basic gun handling skills, learning new laws and regulations, understanding the use of force laws, law enforcement interaction, and range practice.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have a valid FOID and Illinois Concealed Carry License
  • Bring pen and paper, eye and ear protection, and 30 rounds of ammunition
  • Bring an unloaded firearm in a case

COURSE COMPLETION:

  • Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate that you can use to renew your CCL.
  • You’ll need to upload your certificate into your renewal application on the ISPFSB website.

Utah Concealed Permit Instructor

Utah CFPs are issued to Non-residents at least 21 years of age who have a permit from their home state may also apply.

USCCA Certified Instructor

In this course, we will cover all aspects of being a USCCA Certified Instructor. You will also learn how to use the USCCA Instructor portal, also how to manage and market your classes.
Students will need to have knowledge of the correct firearm verbiage, basic shooting, fundamentals, universal safety rules, proper stance and proper grip.
Please acknowledge that this class does require participation to pass. Being present does not guarantee that you will leave with a USCCA Instructor Certificate. If you attend the course and do not receive certification, refunds will not be given. This course is a pass/fail course; there will be no options for remedial training after the fact. If you are not able to pass the class, your options will be to retake the entire class at a later date.

NRA Range Safety Class

Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form.

Civilian Safety Pepper Spray Training

The essential facts about pepper spray. The proper ways to carry pepper spray. How to deploy pepper spray effectively against an assailant. Methods of teaching. Decontamination techniques. Real-time practice using inert canisters.

Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals

Guns, holsters, and concealed carry leggings are not “one size fits all,” so why would self defense instruction be any different? The purpose of this training curriculum is to provide a distinctly feminine approach to personal defense, which will help you build confidence in your abilities as a gun owner.

Countering The Mass Shooter Threat

In Countering the Mass Shooter Threat you’ll pour over data collected from 48 mass shootings, finding similarities along the way which will lead you to a conclusion that answers the question – what can be done to counter this threat? Once you’ve learned all you can from these historical events, you will begin to understand the importance of developing an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), and the systematic forethought that goes into mass casualty preparation.

Illinois Armed Security

The Armed Security Certificate program teaches basic and advanced skills needed to perform optimally and excel in the field of armed security. This top-level security training class is taught in person by experienced AGB instructors. Upon successfully completing the class, students will receive a certificate stating that they meet the training requirements necessary to apply for a 230 Firearms Certification through the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulations (IDFPR).

Illinois Unarmed Security

Illinois requires that security guards complete a 20-hour basic security training course to become licensed. The course covers a variety of topics, including:

  • Security Industry: The role of the security industry is protecting people and property.
  • Laws and Regulations: Criminal, civil, and constitutional law that governs the security industry.
  • Security Officer Responsibilities: Duties such as patrolling, responding to alarms, and writing reports.
  • Emergency Procedures: Evacuation, shelter-in- place, and responding to medical emergencies.
  • First aid and CPR: Basic  training to handle medical emergencies.
